I remember when I wanted an n64. Never got one. My parents looked at the then upcoming Playstation and got me that instead, to my dismay. Granted, I enjoyed the games, and later on learned that the n64 game weren’t as good as they could be (almost all the good ones were on the n64 app on switch at launch, and they added the rest later).
I hope this comic references “Banjo-Kazooie” at some point during one of the “1998” storylines (even as just a small reference), considering that game was also on the N64?
The controller had weird positions for you to put your hands in, using the analog stick gave you blisters, and all things considered, objectively the first PlayStation had better graphics, internal system and a wider selection of games so it was no wonder why it sold better.
But there still goes one of the most beloved game consoles of the 90’s, and the one that brought Nintendo to 3D gaming!
I still have the Nintendo 64 my cousins gave me after they got a GameCube with Mario Party 7. I didn’t care if it was old. I had fun playing Mario Party 1 and 3 (they didn’t have 2).

“And Christmas is in four months. Go back to bed.”
Back at it again with the Nintendo!

Note the lack of surprise from Arthur. He’s used to this.
It has begun.
Someone should remind Arthur — There’s no such thing as “A Nintendo”…

Back when parents STILL thought that video game consoles were all one and the same.

So it begins.
A video game storyline with Michelle away at college. This should be interesting.
Here we go, the Nintendo 64 storyline.
There’s the old “You already have a Nintendo you little shit!” line all you 90s kids heard all the time
Because they all play different games, Arthur. Get with the times already.
