But in all seriousness, I enjoy how this reintroduction is done. I could see that kind of inner monologue being used in a TV series’ first episode/pilot or part of opening credits to a movie.
I seriously hope this’ll be more uplifting than the original NNS, cause I felt bad about having to endlessly nitpick every strip.
I like how this is basically just retelling Joel’s initial lifestory, but in a way that actually gets us to sympathize with him. He doesn’t show off any rebellious behavior and his snark is more mild and understandable. Definitely an improvement over his first appearance in the original.
