I hope Jenny wasn’t traumatized by “Hellfire” and kept humming “Topsy Turvy” on the way out.

The first film was a masterpiece of it’s time. The sequel though… I barely got through the opening song!!

Okay, I think you’re a little early on the Gypsy/Roma issue. That didn’t become more known till the late 90s and 2000s. I don’t know how Kendra would’ve known that at this point (not saying she’s dumb, but that wasn’t common knowledge at that point due to limited information and the net was still gaining steam at this point).

That said Jenny does look cute in the Esmerelda outfit. Can’t help but notice she tends to like Disney movies that weren’t all that popular if her like of Pocahantas is any indication.

I don’t really see Jenny emulating Megara when Hercules comes out next year. However, the year after that, when Mulan is released…

@MegaJar: It DOES have a comedy/cute sidekick goat, though.

I thought “Hellfire” made a pretty good villain song.

Careful, Yorgi! Dump on Kenrda’s book and you’ll be feeling “Hellfire”!

Hunchback‘s plot underwent some drastic changes when it underwent “Disneyfication”. In the original Victor Hugo novel, Quasimodo is deaf, Phoebus is a womanizer who tries to seduce Esmeralda despite already being engaged, and both Quasimodo and Esmeralda die in the end. And no, despite rumors to the contrary, it did not contain any talking gargoyles.

Hunchback of Notre Dame to me still is one of Disney’s ballsiest, most beautiful and greatest musically movies they’ve ever had. That why it’s still one of my favorites.

    Those gargoyles do suck though…

It’s definitely one of the best *visually*. Top faves for Renaissance are going to be Hercules,Tarzan and ENG but all-time fave has to be Robin Hood.

Haven’t seen this movie in a while.

Now that I’m aware of just how deeply-rooted Frollo’s evil goes, and uses the guise of his faith in God to try and hide it, that movie is exceptionally dark. So glad that Jenny nor Eric know that just yet. It’d ruin their childhood if they did.

Still one of my top favorite Disney films. I mean, nothing so far has beaten Aladdin or Wreck-It Ralph, but HoND is easily behind them.
