    @GumbyIsInnocent After this, Jim would have a bounce back with Liar Liar and then delve into some dramatic roles like The Truman Show, Man on the Moon and Eternal Sunshine but we also have to suffer through… THE GRINCH!

    Dark comedies can be so polarizing. It’s one of the main reasons why “Cable Guy” bombed. Of course, that’s what cult fanbases are for, now it’s considered a classic, but was also the first sign that Jim Carrey wasn’t JUST the goofy comedic actor, something that “Truman Show”, “Man on the Moon”, and “Eternal Sunshine” would later show.

    The Cable Guy is one of the most underrated Jim Carrey films of all time.
