I think I see a big flaw in Jessica’s plan. I may be wrong, but what if the school thinks that it was Jessica that did that and not Lindsay? I mean, she DID once go absolutely nuts and nearly blow up the school gym, didn’t she? If not, then I seriously hope that Lindsay will admit her shortcomings and try to make up for what she had done. If not, then we’re back in the same grim storytelling that was prevalent before.
Oof…that was painful to watch. But take heart: Jesse has repeatedly promised that this continuity is not the same grim, “everything sucks for no reason” world as the old one was. So we know things will turn out OK for Lindsay in the end, and Jessica will get the comeuppance she so richly deserves.
@ JIMENOPOLIX I imagine that’s Jessica’s next step toward ruining Lindsay now that she’s shown the whole student body Lindsay does have it in her to act like an alpha-bitch, priming everyone to question whether she’ll relapse or if she ever really changed. Now that Jess taken on L’s trappings, she can act the way she used to and pass it off as L with a falling nice-girl façade instead of her, the differences in their skintones notwithstanding. That will, of course, depend on the direction Jesse’s taking this (I haven’t seen Single White Female).
Total destruction! If that character assassination was any more brutal, it’d be directly from the Vanished Ages- and the girl in the second panel looks a lot like Katey. Someone from Lindsey’s old school supplied video evidence. Now that’s a betrayal. And there’s 16 more ‘strips to go in this. The only hole in it is that counter-gossip could claim that it was Jessica in her Lindsey#2 outfit being evil for the camera. Anyway, I didn’t know the new cheerleader outfits were white there. I thought they were open-belly. There’s probably a soft underbelly pun somewhere.
The real question now is…what’s the school going to think of her now?
I wouldn’t be surprised if they get over it quick, though, which will upset Jessica.
Talk about a broken pedestal moment. So that’s how Jessica got the tape. She contacted Lindsay’s former friend Staci for the dirty details. The past came back to haunt Lindsay big time. And I hate to admit it, but Jessica did raise a point. Lindsay should have told her friends and boyfriend about her past before the truth came out. And Craig, you missed a lot. A lot of people are not gonna look at Lindsay the same way ever again after this.
