I also said this on Discord (my nickname there is “Wero Peludo” after my dog), but looks like Eric is the “Alfalfa” of NNS. Both of them are optimistic and try to do their best at everything, but end up being unlucky as they always get bullied and/or nothing goes the way they want.
The only difference between them is that (at least) Eric has a girlfriend (Jenny), while Alfalfa wants to win Darla’s heart, but…
But the downs of have a girlfriend in Eric’s case is that Jenny is a mischievous kid who tries to help people but ends up making things worse and never learns from the consequences, unlike Darla, who is a very educated girl.
As for the story, Eric is barely a kid so maybe he will find what is his special talent in the future.

You don’t always have to search for what you are good at all the time. Sometimes, it will come to you at the most unexpected of times.
