JB, the comic has improved, and a lot. Characters still swear like crazy people, but that’s an insufficient use of inventive synonyms.
Anyway- Part of assuming that everything will end badly is 1) you did send a lot of time making a realistic-setting world. 2) We live in a realistic world, so yeah, our own faults that we’re thinking with one foot on the wrong square. 3) there’s …levels of ways to end things badly, but still funny. I can want things to end badly for Jessica, but that would be her clothes stuffed with fava bean pate’ by cheerleaders. Not that the fight the way it happened wasn’t entertaining. Serena? She’s interrupting the cheerleaders. They can always do the ‘mud drop’ with her like they did with Katey and Ashleigh.
The reason I said that “You’re lucky we stuck around” was because of how much the violence in the last comic turned off readers. It delved into very uncomfortable territory. Regardless, it was a very low blow and it shouldn’t have been said. This iteration is LEAGUES better than the last. Lindsay’s character development was absolutely well done, and the characters are nowhere near as demented as OG Kevin was.
@Freezer Because I’m a fan of JB’s work. I wrongfully assumed that JB was attacking the fandom because of assumptions. I was out of line and I apologize.
@jbwarner86: Also, I’m not one of the people who still insist you’re writing a grimdark story in a crapsack world, despite all evidence to the contrary. I KNOW the reboot is not the same as the old continuity. Lindsay isn’t a bitch anymore, Kevin isn’t a psycho anymore, Rick isn’t an abusive racist anymore. Things are different this time around. I get it.
@jbwarner86: No no no, I’m not assuming that the story arc is gonna end badly. I just know that Selina, in her last appearance, was made out to be a single-minded fangirl who basically models every aspect of her own life around that of Sinead O’Connor. Her hair, her clothes, her mannerisms…all revolve around whatever Sinead is doing. That’s why I assumed that she’s only speaking out about the Catholic church scandal because Sinead did it first.
@MegaJar: Boy, that’s a hell of a bold thing to assume without any evidence.
Sure are a lot of people in these comments lately who seem absolutely convinced that each and every story is going to end badly. Y’know, almost as if the last three years I spent demonstrating my concerted efforts to change this series into something better didn’t happen.
Yes, the Catholic church’s history of sex abuse is indeed horrific and deserves condemnation. The problem is that Selina doesn’t actually CARE about the issue itself. She only cares about the fact that Sinead O’Connor cares about it. If Sinead had never come out against this issue, Selina wouldn’t have done so either.
Welp, Selina is right about this. Be interesting to see how this plays out.
Could parents really sue the school over this, though? I guess Mulroney’s playing safe.
Crazy thing is that Selina is actually right regarding the dark secrets of the Catholic Church. Though, Mulroney did raise a good point in the third panel.
@Ghost – Sometimes we get a bit passionate about things and fly off the handle. It happens to the best of us.

Crazy Bald Woman did nothing wrong
“I wrongfully assumed that JB was attacking the fandom because of assumptions”
Yeah. That makes no sense. What I meant to say what “attacking the fandom because of fan theories”.

@TheJayster49: EVen a broken clock is right twice a day.
@Ghost: Bruh, why are you even here?
@TV Head Fuck off!
@JBWarner: Ignore Ghost, you’re doing alright.
@TheEye: And Pope Francis is Argentinean, but people still say he’s Italian. In most people’s minds, Pope = Italy
@Sean ?
@Ghost Dude, you remind of the people who read Sally Forth every day just so they can whine and complain about it.
@JB just ignore him and do you, man. You’re doing a fine job.
@Ghost Bruh. Nothing JB said there implies that. Chill out.
@jbwarner86 You’re lucky we even stuck around after the last version of the comic.
@jbwarner86 Attacking your fans for theorizing what’s gonna happen in your comics is fucking low, bro
@jbwarner86 We get it. You hate us.
@MegaJar: Boy, that’s a hell of a bold thing to assume without any evidence.

…John Paul II was POLISH not Italian…

So Selina IS aware of what Sinead was talking about.

The “crazy bald woman” was right all along!
For the first time ever, Mr. Principal Man has a pretty good point.
