Yeah, after that “Hour of Horror”, Camp Wilder sounds rather inviting right now. Or anything on TGIF, really. (Yeah, I checked the TGIF lineup for that night in 1992 after they mentioned Step By Step earlier.)
Welp,…MAD is dead, Deb’s career is dead, her motherhood is dead…and her sanity, if it ever really existed, is dead, autopsied, cremated and made into mulch for the Eden Prairie City Hall gardens.
Even if Jacob stays there for the night, Deb may run or drive off to where they’re at and attempt to get her boy back while also trying to kill Tina and her family. Unless of course the police get there in time to stop her before anyone gets seriously hurt..
Also, I hope that camera man is okay. She already must have charges against her.
And I wonder if the dad will show up before the story ends.
Maybe he’ll make a witty remark, like, “Now you see why your mother and I split?”
@Janey: It is so obviously we will get another Jessica in this strip.
@Red Rain: We still have one more week before this arc comes to a close, so we still have hopes for Jacob’s father to appear here.
I remember the original bit. Tina broke down and cried on live TV. Deb here went absolutely apeshit on the cameraman, on live TV. Pardon my language again. Quite the turnaround for how the stories went.
Hopefully, Deb loses custody of Jacob after that mess. And FireballDragon, personally, I feel Foster Care will be safer for Jacob if his father is no better or worse than Deb.
And it’s another “madness is the only end for villains”. She nearly got away with leaving for Deb’s house to pick up Jacob and a fluffernutter of defeat, instead of this hypocritical ending for her, too.
You either die a hero or live long enough to become the villain. And sometimes you were just the villain all along.

Hope the cameraman’s okay, though.
Never back on your show, Larry? Actually, I’d say never back on TV. Unless the news captures a perp walk.
Also fitting that Deb doesn’t know how live TV works!

Deb: Unhinged

Is that cameraman gonna be ok?
@ExxorD: It’s less premeditated assault and more “heat-of-the-moment.”
@Janey: F

A third Twitch cliche for saluting the fallen
Also, boy, that escalated quickly. I mean, that really got out of hand, fast.

Well, that’s first-degree assault against the cameraman. Foster care with the Maxwell’s would by far be the best option for Jacob at this point.
Get fucked, Deb.
Hopefully, Deb loses custody of Jacob after that mess. And FireballDragon, personally, I feel Foster Care will be safer for Jacob if his father is no better or worse than Deb.
Mole, the arc isn’t over yet. Still got one more week of it.
Anyways, my comments for today’s comic:
Pay respects to the poor cameraman there. He went down a hero.
Welp, guess husband calling on the air didn’t happen like I thought it would. Oh well.
Here’s hoping Deb doesn’t pull a Jessica 2.0.
And it’s another “madness is the only end for villains”. She nearly got away with leaving for Deb’s house to pick up Jacob and a fluffernutter of defeat, instead of this hypocritical ending for her, too.
Deborah is really chimping out! Hope that future in the looney bin isn’t too far off.
It’s not going to be safe to go back to that house for a while…
“Danger to Self and others”
Couldn’t agree more!
Oooooh, Deb said a bad word. I’m telliiiiing.
And such LOVELY language is coming from Deb, folks!
