I would have been a few years older than Kendra in 1991. There’s no way she wouldn’t have been introduced to the games in previous grades. What’s next? She doesn’t get, “You have died of dysentery,” jokes?
A high school friend and I independently came up with a literature version of CS, that would start out with her stealing things from different levels of the netherworld in Dante’s Inferno. “Where in Hell is Carmen SanDiego?”
It’s amazing what a really good “a cappella” group can do. I saw the original Carmen Sandiego PBS show as a kid, before I even knew what “a cappella” meant. It was only later that I learned that Rockapella did that entire theme song with nothing but their voices, and it blew my mind.
Maybe JB should just change up a lot of stuff and go for a “I meant to do that all along.” how many errors can you catch. Subtle stuff though, like Kendra’s hairband having green triangles at the bottom for one panel. Or the tabletop changing shades.
Between Jenny’s hair and Jenny in the first panel, the line for the table’s supporting side isn’t present.
Yeah, I remember the Carmen Sandiego Live Action show. Admittedly, I’m more into the Netflix Animated Show, but the original live action was still solid and nostalgic.
@Robotdick: Truthfully, I wasn’t aware that Sandiego even started off as a live-action series until recently. Most people I know only ever talk about her animated counterparts.
TheJayster49: Considering that cartoons are her primary obsession, she’d probably wouldn’t hear about it until the animated series premiered three years later.

DO IT, ROCKAPELLA!

The Netflix “Carmen Sandiego” crew doing the theme:

@ Freezer: Yeah, but even then, in that case it seems more likely that Michelle would know more about who Carmen than Kendra.
@Freezer: Well that just proves that I REALLY don’t know anything about Carmen Sandiego LOL
@TheJayster49: #UmmActually, Carmen Sandiego started as a series of PC Edutainment games. Then came the PBS shows, THEN came the animated series.
Netflix has an updated animated series, currently on Season 4, if you’re interested.
Can we ignore the nitpicky coloring mistakes & just appreciate the enjoyability of the fantastic theme song?

Dangit, first panel, Eric’s chair. I think I can forgive JB not catching these, with Carmen SanDiego around, we can’t catch a cold.
Third panel, too.

The high point of an entire long-running series. 🙂
Is that a paint-area error between Jenny and her pigtail in the last panel?
I just noticed that, in between Jenny and one of her pigtails in the last panel, the background isn’t colored in.
Other than that, it shocks me that Kendra of all people doesn’t know about Carmen Sandiego.
