Y’wanna know the most delicious part of this? By staying behind to face the councilors’ wrath so everyone else can get away, Jocelyn has more than anyone embodied “What would Jesus do”, and actually in a serious sense, not some kitschy wristband slogan. I guess she picked up something from Reverend Wilson’s sermons after all.
There’s one thing she didn’t consider, though. Before, she was just one of over thirty “campers” being brainwashed counseled. So the counselors had to spread the torment around. But now, Jocelyn is the ONLY camper left, so all their attention and wrath will be focused solely on her. Might be a bit harder to cope this time around. But like she said, if there’s anyone who can pull it off, it’s her.
Oh crud!
Will the bus actually leave Jocelyn? Or will they stop to deal with the counselor woman and rescue Jocelyn?
Tune in next time… which I guess is tomorrow.
Also, did they not have extra balloons with that hydrogen peroxide they could’ve thrown to that woman?
Even so, I reckon Jocelyn could be strong enough to punch the woman’s teeth out (if she’s not properly equipped with her torture devices).
Maybe Jocelyn is gonna come back to Ronald’s victory party pretending to be the perfect converted Christian daughter and play it up to the Nth degree before she drops the act?

@Exclaimist: Not until December 3rd.
Thrilling as this is, Jesse, can we wrap this up, please?
Someone is in for a beat down.
I’m betting next comic, Jocelyn will be catching up on the ATV with the councilor’s crumpled body in the background.

You could have just gotten in the bus, Jocelyn…let the others handle the violence. But you had to get in the boot…too risky.
(I’m certain she’ll be all right, but this was some plot-convenient stupidity, if only of the “do not lean out of a moving vehicle” type.)
And that is some cartoon-level DERANGED in that last panel.
@FireballDragon: We’re better off not having him around anymore.
Hmmm… makes you wonder if Joce pulls the Too Broken to Break schtick on the consuelor…
The stakes are getting higher and higher by the minute.
@Peter R.: I was thinking the very same thing. And drops the act very publicly, we can hope…

Now it seems like this following week will be centered on trying to rescue Jocelyn AGAIN!
Oh Shit. This is not good.
It’d be hilarious to see Mole204 try and justify this if he were still around.
Holy shit, she actually did it 😮
