This actually isn’t too far from how it was over at my movie theater job. We were constantly switching jobs throughout the day, mainly because not all of the employees would show up. Though thankfully they allowed me to complete training before I started getting switched.

I’ve never been to a theatre that actually had ushers. Ticket takers and concessions, yes, but never someone in the aisles, shushing people who are too loud. Or maybe the theatres I went to were just better behaved than ones that needed them.

That theater is gonna get shut down so quick. If Joel is unsure if he’s been hired or not, that I personally feel is a tell-tale sign that the theater is a little bit crooked in its operation.

Why do I have a feeling Joel is going to get a black eye when he goes in to break up the fight in a later strip?

“It’s a horizontal ranking structure.” Trust me, having too MANY managers is a real problem! And yeah, make sure you’re hired, and that Payroll knows it.

Joel represents me when I first started working at Albertsons, since there are SO many managers and assistant managers that it’s hard to keep track of who’s supposed to do what.
