@Pokota: Solidarity! I honestly felt a bit honoured to be targeted in a vaguely similar manner to the girls. I knew they had it far worse, as they were always getting flagged for something. Every week was something new.
I went to hight school in 1986, and changed schools in 1987. Both had always had a no hat-wearing policy that dated back probably to the 1920’s. I always wore a hat, so was naturally singled out by the hall monitors a lot, even though that was the only rule I ever transgressed. I asked why a few times, and was given 2 different answers. The first was that taking off a hat when indoors was just good manners, but the second was that I could potentially hide a weapon there. Really? Now, granted, mine was a duster-style hat, so maybe a Derringer, and OK, I always wore a trenchcoat too (in which I could easily conceal a katana, thanks Highlander), but who was I Wyatt Earp?
Sincerely, @Mole204, Early Skinner Personality Treatment would be an improvement considering how much of an asshole he was back then, especially by the end of the previous run, , you know, with the warning of a rape attempt and everything.
If you’re not asleep now, the rest of the school day will be sure to alternate between boring you to sleep and exhausting you to unconsciousness.
Is Mulroney’s looking a little more Principal Skinner today than usual?
I think it’s less about how it effects *them* and how it effects *everyone*.
Also, the fact that Mulroney’s clearly inflicting pointless rules for dumb reasons is more of an annoyance than not being allowed to wear hats. Guessing this isn’t the first time he’s done this.
Great, Mulroney is back “sarcasm alert.” Admittedly, I never truly understood why hats were banned from schools in the past, heck the middle school I attended banned hats as well when I was there. But I think we are getting the re-introduction of Steve in this arc, which I eagerly await.
I never at all understood the vendetta public schools have against hats.
I mean, in the aftermath of columbine, things like trench coats and hoodies I can perfectly understand. But this is telling me that the no hats rule has existed much longer than it seems. Which I think is weird if not downright petty.
That being said, what are Joel and Aaron complaining about? They don’t even wear hats.

The only explanation against hats that I got was “It’s disrespectful”, which of course made me want to wear a hat more
The explanation I got was that hats could be used as a signal or uniform for gang members and they didn’t want gangs to form in schools.
Legend tells of a legendary principal who’s morning announcements are the stuff of legend!
Victorian Era(?) Morality strikes yet again. Have fun listening to certain nearby girls complain about it, boys!
Today’s announcements were written and authored by the Department of Redundancy Department.
Hello, Steve?

I think I know where this is headed

@TheJayster49: even if they arent affected, that doesn’t mean they can’t think its stupid.

Since neither Joel nor Aaron wear hats, how should THIS affect them?
