I’m apparently old enough to remember when the ‘social contract’ included an understanding that the phrase “I’m sorry” was usually shorthand for “I express my sympathy for the uncomfortable and/or inauspicious circumstances that have clearly put your mood into a very unappealing configuration”…
Not that I mind using the entire phrase, but then I go up against the notoriously truncated modern attention-span. So it goes…
I probably haven’t paid too close attention to the continuity – though most likely because it’s been a while since we last saw Vince – but it’s nice to see him and Aaron actually start out on good terms. Even if we’re being shown a rather awkward conversational topic to depict such a friendship ^^;
