Oh boy, I remember a story in Calvin and Hobbes like this. School contest for traffic safety poster with cash prize ($5.00). Calvin’s: “Be Careful Or Be Roadkill.” Goes just as well as you’d think.
Lotso: I showed Lindsay smoking exactly once before, at the end of the story that introduced her. But that story has quite a bit of Early Installment Weirdness in it – not only is Lindsay more catty toward Jessica than she would be now, but I also wrote Patricia as way more stuck-up and bitchy than she currently is. I wasn’t sure just how unpleasant to make the Duquesne family when I reintroduced them, and I’ve since decided that they’re basically decent people, just totally out of touch with how people poorer than them live.
ho dear..i start to ship them again XD like i started to ship them un the old universe when she started to be good and hangout with joel with grunge style. :p
Joel seems to be approaching this with skepticism, and I don’t blame him. Star Search was just a cross between a variety show and a beauty pageant. (Nowayears it’s stuff like Dancing with the stars and So you think you can sing?) If Lindsey does go the distance, it’s going to have a different ending to it than last time. That could be interesting. And at least she remembers that Joel has a guitar.
I find it pretty funny that Lindsay’s first licensing choice appears to be Taco Bell. Either she knows Joel likes going there, or her standards are nowhere near as high as her original counterpart. I mean, not trying to criticize Lindsay or anything, it’s just her original incarnation would definitely try to put their artistic values into something that isn’t generally considered “peasantry” by the upper-class.
Also, call me cynical, but I feel I can achieve success whenever I can only anticipate the worse case scenario. That way I’m not setting myself up for disappointment.

I was wondering if this would come up later on with WestWorld’s development.

I wouldn’t count your chickens before they hatch, Lindsay.
