Is this when Jason Todd died? I’ve never been a big comic buff, and when I was in high school in the 90’s, I didn’t know Dick Grayson ever stepped down from his sidekick role.
@darthsand: Ugh, tell me about it. Cartoon Network used to have so many great DC superhero shows. Teen Titans, Beware the Batman, Green Lantern, Young Justice…and one by one, they all either got cancelled or moved to time slots where nobody would ever see them. Now, all that’s left is Teen Titans GO, the stupidest and least superhero-y of them all.
Just wait until Teen Titans Go, Joel, when the characters are flanderized, both phisically and mentally. I think THAT’S when Robin dies, along with the rest of the Teen Titans.
“How did you recruit these innocent youths into your evil plan?”
“I told them they had a chance at making things better. This was such a novel thing for them to hear, that they were people and they mattered.”
Most schools do have a ban on hugging- they just call it public displays of affection.
@Christopher Max Wall: Not that they know it, but that particular Robin did get a lot cooler post-mortum.
@Rognik: The issue where Jason died came out in ’88.

@MegaJar
Yeah, all of that, plus Stan Lee’s death, made me prefer Marvel.
Aaron’s face in that last panel is adorable.

Two Robins died. They both got better. Of course, Joel wouldn’t know that yet.
And now I hope to one day see Aaron cosplay as Nightwing.

The cool Robin didn’t die, Joel.
“Why do you wear dark clothes, Batman?”
“So I don’t get shot at.”
“And why does Robin wear such BRIGHT clothes?”
“So I don’t get SHOT at!”

Well Joel can be Alfred then. He’s got the attitude
Well, Looks like Aaron’s on board with Steve’s plan and Joel might be coming around to helping out. This is getting good.
Hang in there, Joel. Once you indulge in justice, you’ll never want to go back
In your world, Joel, death actually seems preferable.
