Uh…maybe you’re just too young to remember, but the punchline in this strip is inspired by actual events. Batman Returns was quite controversial when it was released.

I can’t decide if Hottest Catwoman Ever or Vibrating Winnebago are the ‘smuttiest’ parts of the movie. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen it, but it’s not that bad. But to picket this Batman movie seems like overkill. JB’s version is OK. Joscelyn doesn’t even middle-finger the audience, or milk-shower herself when broken from the death experience. I’d think that Jos would shove her way to the front of the line in every iteration just to make sure the “lost a thimble” moment is in the movie-riff.
I still remember the Forever 16 iteration that focused on Batman Returns and had Joel gushing over how hot Catwoman was which made Michelle jealous. Which made me realize just how many different storylines based on the film there are.
