Pocahontas was…OK. At least they hired actual Native American actors for the Powhatan tribe and Brits for the settlers…except Steirs who had been pushing a Brit-ish accent ever since his M*A*S*H days. But to have Poca as a late teen instead of EARLY teen? Yeah, not so cool, Disney.
Back in 1996, Disney’s Pocahontas was one of those films we had temporarily rented on video. So I didn’t have much of a personal connection with it compared to the other Disney films my family and I owned on physical media. (Though I did have the direct to video sequel during the 2000’s, which was less good than the original.)
@Chris Wolvie: There was also the American Mel Gibson voicing John Smith, which made him stick out a lot compared to the other settlers.
Virginia, flat? Kid, WHERE? I go 20 minutes out of town and I’m driving up a freaking mountain.

LOL
Yeah, Pocahontas definitely had its flaws, even with the Colors Of The Wind song being very good.
the weakest of all the Renaissance movies.
Instead of wind, Jenny’s gonna be painting with the colors of her blood ❤️🩹
