Setting a clown on fire isn’t killing him, it’s an alcohol fire. He’ll be fine for the first few minutes. Long enough to get a public nudity arrest. Fire Clown can always jump in a river. Gotham has a lot of conveniently located architecture.
This reminds me of one of the “Things I’d Do If I Became an Evil Overlord” list items: if I am holding the hero’s girlfriend hostage at gunpoint, I will focus my attention on her and not him. He won’t do anything while his beloved is in danger. Conversely, her perceived helplessness up to this point has no bearing on her ability to suddenly take matters into her own hands while I’m distracted.
@TheJayster49. I know, right. I’ve contemplated that many of times. If he would do that more then maybe Barbra wouldn’t have been hurt or Jason been killed. And you gotta think, all of the stress takes it toll on poor Bruce. But then again, they need to sell the comics some how.
With how many people having to resort to crime just to survive, killing them is probably on the side of mercy. Granted, Batman DOES make an effort to rehabilitate the crooks he fights, but still.
Don’t you just love loopholes?

Isn’t this the movie where Batman has a higher body count than the villains?

Should’ve listened, clown boy.
I wonder how Steve will react when the Batman animated series comes out later that year.

Wow. Joce in a skirt and nowhere near a church.
Yeah, I know, dream sequence. 😀
“I didn’t kill him. He made himself be killed. That was his choice to die.”
– Steve, probably
Also, JB. Have you ever considered bringing back characters like Abby?
Technically, he didn’t kill him. He just allowed him to die.
