“He use to be so kind, courteous and malleable..” yeah kinda let that last word slip in there, Deb.
When I was little, this girl I use to play with, Deb reminds me of her mom, who got extremely pissed one time at my parents because they let the girl and I watched Fern Gully without checking in with her first, and the mom said the sludge monster in the movie symbolized the devil and that movie could corrupt her daughter. Yeah….
As much as we would like for Jacob to expose his mother for how crazy and controlling she is… I get the feeling he won’t.
Either because he’s too scared for being put live on TV where he knows millions of people are watching him, or because he’s been controlled by his mother all his life and is convinced that “mommy knows best” and anything else he says or thinks is wrong and/or might make mommy mad.
But we shall have to wait and see for tomorrow’s strip.
Is it live? Is it taped? Taped would have the better chance of being edited into something coherent, as is a must with all child actors and their parents.
Yes, this is the chance for Jacob to turn the tables, but with only 4 more comics in the chapter, is that really enough to give Deb the talking to that she needs?
I’m just mentally subtracting one of the comics to have Tina rolling in the aisles/ on her couch in laughter as Deb gets wrecked on stupidly live TV.
I’m with TheJayster49 on this one, Jacob! Expose that nutjob of a mother of yours and make that sugar-coated world come crashing down on her like a demented game of Jenga!
BTW, regarding the “nutjob” comment, that was foul. I apologize… TO THE NUTJOBS OUT THERE!

This is gonna totally backfire…
Deb has just traumatised her son way more than any Catwoman toy.
@M. I know. The way her pupils get so small when she’s all worked up is just unsettling.

The way JB drew Deb here really emphasizes how punchable her face is.

Very unfortunately, I see this going in Deb’s favor. But its also incredibly scummy. Exploiting her own son in order to get the response she wants.
I’m just waiting for the rubberband in Deb’s head to snap. Her eyes always make her look like she’s wound tighter than a wind up toy..
Jacob, you have a golden opportunity. Don’t let it go to waste.

Jacob, you better not screw up your one chance to expose your mother for the nutjob that she is.
