Y’know, I never took Kevin for an independent comics kind of guy. Some day I bet Steve’s going to find out he’s got a complete set of Ben Edlund’s original run on The Tick and they’ll become like brothers.
I absolutely loved The Mask. Jim Carrey at the top of his game. The debut of Cameron Diaz as a newly-minted blonde bombshell. And real, honest-to-goodness humor, instead of the gross-out crap from Ace Ventura or the puerile obnoxiousness of Dumb and Dumber. The “Cuban Pete” segment and the part where Milo the dog puts on the mask were both pure comedy gold. One of my all-time faves!
My bird didn’t put up with mom’s cats. Or the dog. She let them know who was boss.
It seems so rare to see Amber with that expression. She is positively adorable with it.
That Tweety quote is from “I Taw A Putty Tat” (1948). The next line after clocking Sylvester is, “I tink I talm him down too much.”
Spoon!

Once a jerk… XD
Uh-oh, Kevin has cast aspersions towards the Goddess of Cartoons…
The comics WERE better, though. But that new one where Big Head runs for president was really dumb.
The Mask is definitely one of the best Jim Carrey films.
Cartoon violence is still violence, Kev.
He’ll come around eventually. xD
