I remember this. the makers of Prozac were pushing hard for this medicine and paying doctors a lot of money to just prescribe it to everyone. A horrible practice that has repeated itself multiple times over.

Pharmacy Salesmen were offering illegal incentives–ie bribes–back then, to docs who over-prescribed the stuff.
