I recently bought a vhs of the movie and it came with the Indian, cowboy and his horse, the medic, and even the official key. It made it more believable!
@Superior Gorilla: Genuinely can’t wait to see 1990S’s take on Toy Story in a few months. I feel like Kendra and Michelle in particular would have a field day with it.
I first thought this was based on Toy Story, but that movie had not come out until November. Wasn’t until the last panel that I realized “Oh, yeah, that other movie existed.”

The Indian in the Cupboard was basically ahead of its time regarding the concept of toys coming to life.
@Superior Gorilla: That’s right.
Though for me personally, my family and I wouldn’t watch it until after we got it on video for Christmas in 1996.
I was more into the Borrowers from ’98.

The Indian in the Cupboard was a novel first. It had three sequel books, too.

Also, wow, Jenny REALLY likes “Pocahontas”!
@TheJayster99: By this time, Toy Story has yet to be premiered.
… I have literally never heard of this movie until now, and it sounds like Jenny’s trying to pull some Toy Story bull XD
