Eh a little preachy but not un-true either. Not to say there weren’t a few shows that didn’t display gays in the positive though such as Golden Girls and Night Court (Yeah 80’s shows but still).
Man, I love the interaction between Ashleigh and Jocelyn. And Jocelyn basically summed up how LGBT people in 90’s Cinema and TV don’t get as much recognition and didn’t start becoming more prevalent until the new 10’s
I’m surprised Jocelyn didn’t explicitly mention the heavy amount of internalized biphobia within the LGBT community. That is, the idea that you can only be attracted to the same sex in order to qualify as LGBT (asexuals and aromantics face similar discrimination). I mean, Jocelyn experienced it first hand with Allie.
@TheJayster49: Very true, and 30 years later it’s still a battle we’ve all of us had to continue to fight.
Aaaaaawwww, look at Big Sister Jocelyn! I love this!
Bugs also cross-dresses, so…
Yes it does, Ashleigh!
Bisexual erasure wouldn’t be a thing except for legally-enforced monogamy.
I mean, it’s not really preachy. It’s just true.

There’s something about Jocelyn that intrigues me when she gets emotionally upset.
She’s always acting tough, but then there are these moments when she shows vulnerability.

Especially since Ashleigh evidently had no idea what bisexuality was up until now.
