This is not a Pollyanna view of America. We want to make you a Civil War soldier. We want to make you feel what it was like to be a slave or what it was like to escape through the underground railroad.

omg, so glad they didn’t go through with this! I mean I agree it’s not a good idea to sugercoat things, but to make a Disney theme park around the horrors of American history? really?
I don’t know about Disney’s America… But Donald as a superhero is just the start of what you’ll find in Disney Italy comics. There’s the time an asshole tried to force his alien love interest to marry him, and Donald showed up with a double-barreled shotgun and… Well, let’s just say the only reason nobody died is that Donald wasn’t feeling merciful.
Yeah, there was a lot of cool concepts that would’ve been fun to see, like the “Dogfighter” rollercoaster, and a live Muppet show, but yeah, ultimately it’s a good thing good taste prevailed in stopping them from making it.
That project got canceled due to Euro Disneyland’s failed opening.
Oh right that, pfft. She’s got nothing worry about. One of the few times Disney caught the common sense bug there.

Ah, yes. I heard about that park, thanks to Defunctland.
Also, haha, nice reference to the scrapped turkey character they were originally gonna use for Pocahontas.
Hoo yeah, Disney’s America….

@TheJayster99: So am I.
Aaaahhh, yes. I don’t know if I should link to a Defunctland video, Yesterworld or some other YT channel woth an in-depth video on the subject.
I fail to see how that’d be any worse than Euro Disney :p
