I wish I could ‘upvote’ this strip, and I _really_ wish I could afford to leave a tip. This is absolutely the best send-up of DC’s attempts to rebrand itself for a ‘new’ audience that I’ve read to date. Thank you for sharing it!
Christopher Max Well: I’m giving my observations on it. It just seems that this is similar to how Jesse handled the old continuity. I don’t know if it’s intentional or not. But considering how he wants everyone to forget it existed, I’m willing to bet on the former.

72 is just starting out as a comic, perhaps Kendra can claim that she tried several story takes at the outset and submitted them all. Some bleakness is understandable, that gives something for the protagonists to work on. (But yes, newest 1990something is a nice mix of tones.)
