I’m guilty of being one of the guys that doesn’t really pay attention to the words in most songs. I do mostly listen for the music and only find out later what the words actually mean.
So while the teacher isn’t giving Joel a hard time so far, his classmates certainly are. It seems like no matter where Joel goes, he’ll ALWAYS have people treating him like crap.
While we surprisingly didn’t see that too much in this iteration when Joel was back at his old school (instead it was mostly just told to us), I’m starting to notice how Joel’s family and small group of friends are quite literally the ONLY people so far who treats him with any genuine respect. I mean, I get that Joel is supposed to be the one who thinks differently than others and that it helps show why he’s so rebellious, but it’s kinda silly that he’s practically the black sheep of the universe he lives in.
Granted, I suppose this storyline is an attempt to rectify that, but I’m gonna be honest and say that I am not counting my chickens before they hatch.
The hypocrisy is strong with the one who called Joel close-minded.
At this stage, I’m wondering if Joel is the only one who HAS any talent…
Sure thing Lars. Nobody here has any kind of ego.

Oh boy, it’s like Joel got put in the one group where he’s carrying the load.
And here we go again…
I hope at least some people turn out to be cool here
Uhhhhhhhhhh,…………yeah.
