Also, since they’re reading a school newspaper, I’m assuming that those two are either freshmen, or it’s a combined High School/Middle School and they’re 7th/8th-graders.
I may not have read ’72, but swearing aside, I’m still liking 1990 Something.
Is Kendra amped up enough to beat Brat 1 with Brat 2, like a wobbly baseball bat, or oversized pillow? Because she seems about to try something.
@ Red & Jayster: But even then, there’s a big difference between something having a subtle dark edge & going fullblown Chris Nolan/Zach Snyder on everything.
Kendra’s clearly missing the point of when it comes to adding edge to your story.
Making your story dark and edgy isn’t bad in and of itself, but you must balance it out with meaningful conflict, resolutions, and actual entertainment.
I think this is how the Joker’s origin went.

I’ve say it before and I’ll say it again, the audience never knows what they want, most you can do is just try to break even.

That’s what you get for listening to these two little twats, Kendra. They wouldn’t know a quality comic if it bit them in the ass.
Welp folks, Kendra has cracked.
Looks like Kendra is going to have an edgy backstory soon enough.
@Zach Kenny – Isn’t that more or less what Red Rain said?

@Red Rain – Like I said, making something dark isn’t bad but you CAN go overboard with it. And I say that as someone that enjoys overly dark media.
Kendra: THAT’S IT !!! I’VE HAD IT!!! I’M GIVING UP ART!!! NOBODY GIVES A DAMN ABOUT ANYTHING I HAVE TO SAY!!!
Joel: I don’t blame you.
Dickish as they are about it, Cameron and Derek kind of raise a good point. There is such a thing as being too edgy.
Some asshole dicks are just never satisfied & too thickheaded to get what the real problem is.

I was expecting them to say. “Why would you listen to us? We’re kids. We don’t know what we want!”
