I just don’t understand the whole “my fave sports team runs solely on my psychic willpower” thing even though I’m probably guilty of something similar though less intense.
“18 and life” is a Skid Row song, not 18 by Alice Cooper. So yeah, I can get why Joel is just waiting through the songs.
I like how Joel’s expression in the final panel is vague enough to be either honestly grateful or his usual sarcastic self. It’s not quite a smile or a frown so it works both ways.
Don’t worry Joel, I’m sure you will find some employable skills soon enough. And to be fair, Skid Row isn’t that bad of a band, their early material was actually pretty good before Sebastian Bach left.

Sorry Joel, making fun of music videos won’t be a marketable skill until Youtube takes off.

He’s got years ahead of him to start looking for a job. No need to grow up too fast.
Then again, I already know what’s going to happen, and my only hope is that it IS “kinder and gentler,” particularly with the grown-ups’ takes on it.
Thank god for DVR, amirite?

If you’re Beavis and Butthead, then yes.
