@Kimberly I have, actually. 2nd through 4th grade was terrible, and grades 7-9 were the worst years of my life. And all that stemmed from teachers just not giving a crap. I was in a position where I actually needed help from my teachers to do better, but they sent me away to be harassed by students instead. I was supposed to be in the graduating class of 2010, but I had enough of them just not caring.
Ah the age old question….how do you make school fun? The social aspects of school are secondary compared to the purpose of providing an education. But how do you make the average apathetic teen care?
She can be a tad airheaded sometimes, but Lindsay does strike me as somebody who actually wants to succeed in school. Though I will ask, does she genuinely like going to school or does she only tolerate it because of her friends and popularity?
I know that sounds a tad out of character for Lindsay, since she’s proven she wants to make a change in the world, but it was made clear from the very beginning that NOBODY in that school wants to be there. And with how shitty the people are, both students and teachers, it’s hard not to blame them.

Ayup…that’s politics in a nutshell. “We want change…except for the things we don’t…leave those alone and we’ll vote for ya.”
ExxorD have you ever been to a public high school? This is just what they’re like. Speaking from experience, here.
… Wow, its a surprise that school didn’t burn down right at the beginning of the first strip, given what Nick just said.
Summer of 4 ft. 2 reference? “Oh, you like hanging out too?” “Well, it beats doing stuff.” “Yeah, stuff sucks.”
And things just went from bad to worse.
