@Stickfigure Productions – Yeah, from my high school experience, you NEVER could share your interests/content with other students. They WILL either dismiss them or insult them the first second they get.
Of all the people she could’ve gotten opinions from, she had to start with THESE two pea-brained brats? Oy, Kendra, you really are a glutton for punishment, aren’t you…
Second panel really sums up the problem. They are exactly what jump-in readers are- no clue what’s going on, and a clue wouldn’t sink in even if they had one. I think Cameron wants to pay attention to explosions and their effects on Madeline Prior’s clothing.
Derek would just be disappointed by Bambi Meets Godzilla. It’s too short. And has no Terminator style firefight.
Wait till she mentions Ralph Bakshi and Fritz the Cat.
Ah poor girl, but such is the way of the art, plus you know the saying “Everyone’s a critic.” Even annoying kids who’re just into the now.
You should have researched your audience, Kendra. They want boom pow zing, not intelligent humour. 🙂
@TheJayster49. I know that teenagers and kids are soulless, vile creatures. I just feel bad for Kendra. Her strip sounds very interesting

@Red Rain You never know. There were plenty of nostalgiaholics even in the 90’s. But again, this is the school newspaper and not New York times.
@MegaJar – It’s an unwritten rule; if you’re a main/supporting character, the universe WILL hate you lol

Yeah, those 70’s references might be a hit with adults Kendra, but definitely not with 90’s teens.

Oh god, these little shits. There are no shittier people than little kids.
I’m sensing personal frustration being vented here.
