In my school. The models were paid. So, I’m not so sure about the whole volunteering to model vs. Having to sit there for three to four hours at a time in one pose.
When I took Life Drawing in college, it took me about 5 minutes to get used to the nude models. Not only did my artwork skyrocket in quality as a result, I even got to the point where when I was talking to one of the models outside of class, I cracked a joke saying “I’m not used to seeing you with your clothes on for this long.” Yeah, I’m weird like that.
