I must admit DC swerved us a bit with Supes’ return. They were all “Which one of the four “Super Men” (Steel, Superboy, the cyborg, “Superman, but kills dudes.”) was the real deal?
@Christopher Max Wall: Welcome back, and you are right. His “replacements” ended up sticking around, but one of them became evil and the others died and came back from the dead. I wonder what will happen when Batman: Knightfall comes around in the strip.
Ah, the Death of Superman storyline. That was a good one by DC. And Ghost, personally, I recommend you see The Death of Superman and its sequel Reign of the Supermen. It tells the comic storyline way better than Superman: Doomsday does, and it has plenty of kick-ass action and solid writing.
What shocks me about the Death of Superman is that all of his “replacements” would end up sticking around. You rarely see that many new characters introduced in a big storyline sticking around these days. Hell, Steel’s got a legacy hero of his own now.

@Christopher Max Wall Welcome back.
I remember seeing a trailer for an animated adaption of the special. It’s called Superman: Doomsday. I’d have to check it out along with the comic.

PS: I’m back, baby!

Whenever I think of superhero “deaths”, I always think of this particular Collegehumor skit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vHm2XrwpGtI
