You have no idea how many times the stations get these calls from viewers. It’s almost always doddering old folks who still don’t know what Google is, but found the station’s number somehow anyway. (Probably having a relative look it up, the Yellow Pages, or paying directory services.) They’re usually irate because the governor’s press conference preempted their soap operas, but sometimes we get conspiracy theory wackjobs screeching about how we’re ramming an evil agenda down their throats (while every other station in the market is ALSO preempting their programming with the same exact press conference). I just make sure it goes to air; I’m not in charge of programming. If you don’t want the governor to interrupt your soaps, yell at him to reschedule his press conferences.
Did you try changing the channel? Did they have the sports channel on cable back then? At least the Duquenses are weathering the Storm in better fashion then they used to.

I like the new design for Patricia.
I’m sure the Cable Guy will take this regret to his grave.
Definitely better than the original.
@Mole204: It’s on EVERY channel.
Pre-Internet Era days right there.

The future years of TiVo and maybe the internet probably wouldn’t have made situations like this much of a problem.
