I have a personal memory associated with this episode; singing the monorail song with my dad while on the trains at Disney World when I was 4 years old
I wasn’t aware of The Simpsons at that age, but thats neither here nor there
Quick heads up: I might take a break from reading webcomics for a month or so. I’ve been fighting personal demons as of late and I need to get my mental health back in track. So if you stop seeing comments from me that’s why.
“Marge vs. the Monorail” was one of the best episode of the series! Hopefully she won’t have the same grievances about “Last Exit to Springfield” and “Cape Feare.”
Ahh, the eternal “when did the Simpsons turn into crap” debate.
Some of my favorite episodes are in Season 8, but there’s a major red flag in that one too – Homer’s Enemy is the first time that Homer being Homer is actively lethal (while the lethality is explored in this one, it’s still played as a joke. At least we got The Great Louse Detective out of it.) and Lethal Homerity just becomes more of a joke during subsequent seasons (and is the primary reason I have trouble with Bush-era Simpsons).
Really? Dumping on the monorail ep? That’s one of my favorites =P. Honestly the show is at best when it’s grounded but absurd and can manage to the two nicely. I think it was around this point the show actually started hitting that stride. So yeah this is a bit ironic Kendra starts falling out of love with it.
But eh I don’t watch Simpsons as much as I used to anymore (seriously I was a toddler when this show started, how’s that for gray hairs). Mostly just come in for the Halloween eps. And yeah if she think that ep was out there, wait till later seasons. I’m not really on the hate train like most though, just indifferent yet amazed it’s still trucking after three decades. And hey, if the actors (at the time of this writing) are still fine with doing the roles after all this time and it still pulling in ratings, who am I to judge.
I mean, the later seasons are nowhere near as bad as many people believe them to be (barring a few stinkers every now and then of course), but you get my point.
Kendra the Monorail episode is one of the greatest episodes of all time. Don’t get all elitist on us
I was only about 4 years old when I first remembered seeing those red box outlines for the BBS boards.
@JIMENOPOLIX Thank you
Good luck, @Ghost.

@Zach Kenny: How so?
Believe me Kendra, give it at least another 33 years, you’ll be glad to have witnesses the earlier years of The Simpsons.
@jbwarner86 You sir, are really getting bold with the naked scenes.
@Michael, I’m just wondering again when the orgy scene is…and if Linds and Kevin are invited…
Rule 34 art has always been around. It just went under different names.
And to answer Kendra’s question: Not until “Natural Born Kissers.”
The innocent days before Rule34… 😂
Michelle in her underwear last week, Kendra in this week’s first 2 panels, place your bets on next week’s fanserice girl!
Kendra, if you could see the future, you might want to think about it twice.

Wow! Is this the first full nude you do of a teen couple? It’s great!
Or at least of Kendra and Aaron
I’ve noticed Simpsons season 4 seems to have the most obvious redubs of all the classic seasons.
Little did they know how the Simpsons would decline in quality after Season 9.

All I’ll say is this, Kendra: lemons
Man, if only Kendra could see into the future XD
