It’s really and honestly hard to actually care about Joel getting lucky with “the hottest, most popular girl in school”, since we ALL know his chain is going to be yanked by the end of the story arc.
Also, as much as it sucks that Jessica is pretty much baiting Joel here, it’s kinda sad in retrospect that she’s even considered the hottest and most popular girl in Joel’s school, considering Lindsay pretty much ruined her life in the original. Actually kinda hoping that won’t be the case here.
