I love this strip. Tina is expressing genuine concern for Joel’s well-being rather than being straight-up biased and dismissing his dreams.
While the original Tina was right about many rockstars having drug problems and getting involved with the wrong crowd, she acted like they were beyond redemption. Reboot Tina, on the other hand, reacting the same way any NORMAL mother would if their child were to get involved in that kind of lifestyle.
And William… well, I can’t say his concern isn’t genuine either XD
