@MegaJar: I can’t believe people still remember that π That was before this was even a series; I was just doing random stories to suss out my characters’ personalities. At the time, I had yet to develop a sense for which pop culture events warranted a full week’s story and which didn’t π
Off-Topic: I just recalled last time I checked on @jbwarner86’s DA and I saw many of the characters when he first introduced them. Joel had short hair, Aaron wore glasses and Steve wore no hat. That was back when the strips had the name “Maxwell Silver Hammer”, and I check this strip and they all look so different!
Snow was ahead of his time. His gibberish style rapping is the norm today.
Also, here are the results of last night’s poll so far.
Michelle is in the lead with 4 votes.
Steve is second with 3 votes.
Jocelyn and Aaron recieved 2 votes.
Joel, Kendra, and Lindsay all got 1 vote.
And lonely Kevin got no votes.
By which I mean, “Yeah, Snow‘s lyrics sure are impossible to understand, huh?” may be enough of a joke to work for a Sunday strip, but it wasn’t a strong enough premise to sustain a whole week of strips, in my opinion.
Wasn’t there a whole arc in the old continuity that revolved around Joel and Aaron trying (unsuccessfully) to decode the lyrics to this song? …I really hope there isn’t one in this continuity; that arc was pretty dumb, TBH.
I wonder what they would think of Eminem, considered one of the few GOOD white rappers in the industry (and even then, he’s still pretty heavily divisive even if for reasons not exactly related to his music).

Hey, Weird Al Yankovic can rap like a master.
Hey, 3rd Bass was around at the time. Those guys could flow!
@Superior Gorilla Holy shit you’re right! What a difference 13 years can make! I was a child then. LOL
I never liked Snow, and now I know why, LOL!

That’s probably true, Ghost. Also, thanks for making that NNS character quiz. I’ll do it sometime.
@Red Rain Snow was probably sniffing blow when he wrote the song.
Snow’s lyrics made absolutely no sense. He made Vanilla Ice look good.

Snow must be a pretty arrogant rapper. He sounds like heβs so full of himself.
