This is unrelated to this particular strip but I think, as what JIMENO pointed out, that Katy’s problem lies in the fact that she treats lust and love as the same thing. She places her focus on looks and/or talent that she never once considers a person’s actual personality. This was her fatal flaw in the original continuity too, where she kept insisting she was Lindsay’s friend despite her wanting nothing to do with Katy. It wouldn’t be until Lindsay publicly humiliated Katy that she finally got the message.
It doesn’t seem like anything is about to go wrong just yet, but we still got another week left before the storyline ends so we can only guess.
“NOTHING can sink this plan! Except my own typical clumsiness and lack of awareness! But what are the odds of THAT happening?”
Can Katy actually swim? If not, we have an opportunity for mouth-to-mouth.
@Red Rain
Well, since her mind is flooded with how hot a couple she’ll make with Cody, she can’t think of anything else.

Hey-yo!
@Anon: And the first of the year.
Took a bit longer than I expected, but there’s our first UW scene of the arc.
