In case anybody is wondering, as impossible as it may seem, this arc is based on my real life – this guy is a combination of two assistant managers I worked for at Burger King way back when. One would regularly scream and curse us out in plain view of customers; the other one injured a girl when he threw a drive-thru headset at her face in a blind rage.
Both of them were fired when my much kinder general manager found out. Remember what I said about psychos getting their just desserts this time? I didn’t lie about that 🙂
Well, this dude’s a psycho. The employees could easily get him fired if they capture his abusive behavior on tape, but I get this is an exaggeration of real life.
@zim999, do you mean the assistant manager? He’s not nameless, he’s Jon. If you mean the girl in the last panel with Joel, what did she do to piss you off?
@RedRain, Johannsen is a pretty chill guy, from all appearances, but he’s not here during the weekend. It’s just that Jon takes his job too seriously and wants results, presumably so he can become manager somewhere.
I shall now ask the same question of Jon that I once asked of Tucker: why the hell is this asshat still employed?!
It’s even LESS understandable here: Tucker may have had tenure at the school and thus been unfireable, but I’m pretty sure there’s no such thing as tenure at McDonald’s.
I hope this one is different then the first one where Joel is sent to Russia.
Since this one is 2 weeks instead of 3 weeks, I think it might.
I also hope that nameless jerk is fired.
