I remember a friend of mine wanted to try for a local access show when we were younger. We never went through with it due to lack of funds but yeah I’d imagine this is what we would’ve done with the airtime =P. Poor Aaron though, I know that pain all too well. But part of the creative process kid, just keep taking the “nos” till someone says “yes” and readjust where necessary.
The Max Headroom hack has always fascinated me. I wasn’t born until more than a decade after it happened, and I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of people didn’t know about it, but it definitely seems like something Steve would obsess over.
Town hall meetings and such are watched by older viewers, not by younger couch potatoes. They split the viewer numbers pretty clearly between them, but no one wants to admit it. Aaron’s more lenient with people who are clearly wrong, but you can’t fight all day City Hall recordings.
Channel Steve? Oh ho! I thought this wasn’t going to happen here, maybe in a different chapter. The chances of Jocelyn flashing the tv viewing audience are pretty high. It’d be the freeze-frame roll-credits moment.
Honestly, I haven’t see Aaron this ticked off since he stood up for Joel against Joel’s asshole assistant manager back when he (Joel) was working at McDonalds. Well, at least Joel and Steve are suggesting different options, one legal and one illegal.
I mean if people like Larry Clark and Todd Solondz can make films about teenage freaks then who’s to say Westworld won’t be able to do the same?
Also, it’s so weird seeing Aaron in a shitty mood since he’s always so optimistic. Though if I’m honest, it’s kinda refreshing since it shows he has a breaking point lol
Too bad YouTube isn’t for another 15 years.

In case anyone’s wondering what Steve is talking about in panel 4: [link]

On boy! How the wheels are turning in Steves mind right now.
