@Sherly: Tell me you don’t remember the 90’s comic book industry without telling me you don’t remember the 90’s comic book industry. X-Men #300, and so many other #-00’s, and #1’s, and #0’s from that time, weren’t worth the ink and paper and staples they were made with, and they’re worth even less today.
@Mr. Tweed: By the end of this comic, if Steve is still around for the final years, that owner wouldn’t be able to AFFORD banning Steve. The comic book industry is just on the cusp of dying at the time this strip is set, and by the end of the 90’s, that death is well on its way.
Even at that time VHS tapes cost way more than 5 bucks. I know Steve is suppose to be some kind of a “hero” big honestly I think the ending of this comic should have been him being permenantly banned from the comic store. I don’t know any store owner that would put up with that.
Brah, you just forced a guy to give up a legit rare movie, and destroyed property that would be worth solid gold in 30 years. Steve I love you man, but fuck you right now.
Again, I like when we get glimpses at Steve’s cosplaying side (even though this is more implied than say, the Halloween strip of ‘90) Can’t wait til it shows up again in a non-Sunday strip!
Seeing that clerk guy (I noticed he doesn’t have an official name in the tags) be genuinely scared is such a rarity among the villains in this comic, it’s almost cathartic.
Good, bad… he’s the guy with the glue gun.

For some reason, the younger boy kinda reminds me of Devon Sawa. Maybe it’s the haircut.

Why did he take it out of the plastic cover?
Groovy. Every time I hear the comic book store owner speak, I always hear the comic book guy from The Simpsons.

This is what happens when you make the cool guy ANGRY!
Was this actually legal? Could he not get arrested for this?
Badass Steve for the win. Army Of Darkness is the best Evil Dead movie and you can’t convince me otherwise.
Steve continues to be the best character in the whole comic.

Serves that balloon right!
