While Michelle and Jenny’s parents tend to be rather conservative in their viewpoints, as we saw with Arthur in the climate change strip and with Louise in the whole censorship arc, they do try to adapt when faced with the facts.
Louise has a traditional viewpoint, based around strict gender roles. She didn’t think *computers* would be traditional, and that’s ridiculous to *us* here in the 21st Century, but when did she grow up?
Assuming she’s thirty when she had her kids, and that she and Arthur are the same age, they would’ve been born in the 50’s.
Compared to other people from the era, I’d say they’re pretty good about growing with the times.
Or… how long was this after the talk with the teacher?

Also, going to a cheaper college? Not unless Michelle can get some kind of job that involves coding or sell some few games of her own during her teen years.
* she didn’t think computers would be lucrative
See, that’s the thing.

She’s still an idiot, but this is a step in the right direction.
Well, that didn’t take long.

That is cute.
D’aww, so Louise CAN be reasonable after all! And meanwhile, baby Jenny is probably plotting what kind of shenanigans she and Big Bird can get into.
@TheJayster99: She must be around one or two years old by then.
Also, let’s hope Michelle earns a scholarship so she can study in a very good college.
Ooo, and I see Jenny was already born at this time. AND SHE’S TOO PRECIOUS
