Yesterday, I recalled Netflix’s The Punisher, but now I recall that King of the Hill episode when Hank was afraid of using fireguns when he was a kid. Obviously, I am talking about a late 90s series, but I bet ’85 Rick would give a shit and still he might teach young Aaron to use the rifle.
I mean… toxic masculinity, untreated PTSD, internalized racism, yes.
But Rick might actually be as good of a dad as he is physically and mentally capable of being. How much does anyone want to bet that *his* dad never told him he was proud of him?
Got a bit of a kick to it.
@TV Head. I agree. Rick may be full of himself at times but deep down he really cares for Aaron.
Also, The pine tar incident has to be the biggest mess ups in baseball history.
@Red Rain – only if the bullet hits the deer in the head when it comes back down.

@JIMENOPOLIX Daily reminder that Rick here is nothing like the one in the version we don’t speak of.
“I’ll be proud of you no matter what…”
He better mean it.
And that was the sound of Rick’s marriage crashing down into a pile of ash!
Yeah, Aaron will feel that in the morning. Question is if he got the deer or not.
Having flashbacks of Binkley and his dad.
“NAIL BAMBI?!?”
Did Rick even give Aaron any formal gun training, or did he decide that experience was the best teacher?
