Nick convinced the school that Lindsay will improve the school academically, which is not her intent. She needs to make clear what her platform is in order for Nick to lose.
But then again, the students probably don’t care about the visual appearance or the uniform. So it’s still a struggle.
Now, this is an interesting quandary. What is Lindsay going to hit him back with? “Don’t vote for Nick, or else nothing will ever get better around here”? That’s exactly what the voters WANT! When your opponent is running on a platform of total apathy and inaction, how do you poke holes in their campaign?
The answer: you can’t. So the only other option is to resort to personal attacks against Nick himself. And that’s a low that Lindsay really doesn’t want to stoop to, and rightly so. I really hope she doesn’t end up resorting to petty mudslinging and defamation, she’s too pure for that.
How did Jocelyn and Lindsay become friends? I feel like the first time they talked was just before the Star Search storyline, and now they’re hanging out like besties.
If Joce thinks Bush the Elder does it well, wait nine years until his SON takes over…and then another EIGHT years when…well,…POTUS That Shall Not Be Named shows up.
Lindsay’s too Lindsay to recognize that all she has to do is get Nick to sign a peace treaty- Agree to her rather minimal campaign promises and she’ll let him win. But when was the last time that politics did what made sense?
Jos is right that the next move is Lindsay’s, but would she do something smart, or entertainingly explosive? I mean, the next ‘strip is the last one in the arc, it’s got to wrap up quicker than it’s been paced so far.
Yeah, Jocelyn pretty much summed up the uglier side of politics in the third panel. You better be ready for one hell of a campaign against Nick, Lindsay. He fired shots first, time to return them even harder.
Plus, knowing Nick, it’s doubtful he’ll actually go through with any of his promises. Though he most certainly seems like the type of person who would accept cash bribes, so that could be Lindsay’s plan C.

Is Jocelyn really on Lindsay’s side, or is she just here for the entertainment?

Oh boy. A three parter! This is going to be interesting.
@Exal: It helps that, in this continuity, Lindsay isn’t a tryhard alpha bitch, egged on by her even worse mom.
