A Kidnapping charge requires a demand for ransom. Abduction, false inprisonment, attempted mayhem, obsessive regard for a second-rate writer, yes; Kidnapping, no
Nice to see that Kevin and Lindsay care about each other in this continuity. As for Annie, considering she committed false imprisonment, attempted assault and possibly kidnapping, she’s definitely going to be locked up for at least five years.
Years of seeing Kevin as nothing more than a flat character makes this arc TRULY great because it actually gives him some redeeming qualities. Plus it also shows more caring sides of their parents too, even if they had a one-shot appearance in the story.
I’m HOPING this character development will actually stick, cause it’s quite refreshing seeing an antagonist in the comic getting actual characterization beyond just being nothing more than an asshole.
@Red Rain, @Tarotsu: Unfortunately, she’s likely to be tried as a juvenile.
It’s very interesting to see Joel being switched out for Kevin in this story arc.
However one defines it, it’s a serious crime so she will serve a lengthy prison sentence.

Red Rain: Hell, she could get a life sentence alone for kidnapping and that’s possible considering this may be her only role in the comic

Annie’s still standing, and Kevin’s still Kevin. Not a win, but any ending you can walk away from…
I wonder what she’ll be reading in counseling?
