@Red Rain: For a long time, I thought the parade scene with all those different characters like Paddington Bear, Madeline, Bert and Ernie and Sonic the Hedgehog was from “Miracle on 34th Street”.
Because I only ever saw the climax of “Jingle All the Way” with my grandma once back in 1999 and forgot about it until years later when I saw images from that film’s parade scene on Tumblr and eventually saw “Jingle All the Way” on Disney Plus in 2022.
While Arthur can be a grumpy cheapskate, he does have the point that Jenny is the type of person to think they’d get away with murder, so a humbling experience every once in a while would be good for her.
I recently watched Jingle All The Way tonight, so Arthur’s expression is just like Arnold’s expression when he finds out the toy he needs to buy is sold out.
