Yet another reason why I chose to never have children: I’m terrified at the prospect of which ‘dad-figure’ they might have equated me with.
Sure, by this point, there are a lot more such than existed back when I was a teenager, but still… *shudder*

Could be worse. Could be Al Bundy.

Ah, the arc where they discover that William and power tools are a dangerous combination.

Joel just isn’t a sitcom guy is he? Also oof that Cosby comment. Yeah it’s still years off but still…

I think Jesse said he pictured Eugene Levy’s voice for William.

I know we’re supposed to read this for a look at the inner workings of the (Joel’s family) family, but I can only think that the reason that it’s a week long arc is to have it go over into the full page Sunday comic and end with a underwater bubblegum commercial.
Not a problem, but a solution.

ok so, its 20-somethings years to early for Joel to know about Cosby’s worst actions, so I guess he just finds him lame

William, your entire character is just being the sitcom dad. You never know it until you’re told it.

And yeah, William being Bill Cosby is WAY worse than him being Tim Allen. At least by being Tim Allen, William would also be Buzz Lightyear… a lame version of him but still lol
