Oh wow, okay yeah Animal Farm is WAY outside her age class. Jenny’s lucky she doesn’t understand the plot or she’d be traumatized. Goosebumps at least eases kids into scarier stuff while still being fun. Seriously what the heck kinda teacher assigns those kinds of books to elementary schoolers?
ANIMAL FARM?! what the hell is that teacher thinking?!
Good Grief, anything by Rudyard Kipling would’ve been more appropriate than that… like “The White Seal” or “Riki-Tiki-Tavi”
Psst! Jenny! Maybe Kendra has a VHS copy of the 1954 animated movie! You could just cheat like Eric. Better than waiting 5 years for the Hallmark TV movie.
Like, you only really hear someone say that something is “for kids” when they don’t like it. When they DO like it, they’ll fight to the grave on why the work is “actually for adults” as if having a child demographic is inherently a bad thing.
Seriously? Animal Farm in Elementary School?! Hell, I didn’t read that book until I got to High School. Jenny can still get away with reading the book if she can find the animated movie.
wait, would a fifth grader at the time even gotten to the cold war in history class? how is she supposed to get the context of animal farm?

Hey, stop dumping on Mr. Braddock’s teaching methods! After all, “If Comrade
NapoleonBraddock said it, it MUST be right!”Animal Farm? This ain’t the 1950s anymore, teach. Even though you want them to be…
Oh, c’mon, teach. Like a kid Jenny’s age would understand what Orwell was saying in this book… 🙄
Wow, I don’t recall Jenny swearing THIS much.
Just be glad it isn’t ‘Lord of the Flies.’
Animal Farm is absolutely NOT for kids to read. Kids shouldn’t even know anything about political satire or commentary.

Okay, let’s see how will this end…
Jenny let’s hope for you to have not learning that language from Vince or Kevin.
Gotta love the logic behind childrens’ media.
