I’m a Burger King guy. I make an effort to eat McDonalds like maybe once a year or every other year, since I heard it’s REALLY bad for you.
I mean, I doubt BK is better, but still.
My answer: neither. Head to Five Guys instead. Those are the best REAL potato fries at any restaurant. (but that’s how I am now, dunno how well-known/popular FiveGuys was by ’92)
But when I was a kid? Mickey-D’s all the way. I think first I went to BK was when I was in middle school or something. Of course, the only thing I could have from either was just the fries thanks to my dairy allergies.
(also, I would always break the fries’ pointy tips off ’cause I thought they were the same as linked hot dogs)
McDonalds had the toys. But really? McD and BK’s burgers were both terrible. I should have wizened up and gotten double the fries instead. I’m not ruling out that all my childhood vacations were cursed.

Honestly, I prefer Burger King over McDonalds, especially because of their Hashbrowns (Crowns, gotta love them).
I like both, but I honestly prefer Burger King if only because they’re cheaper (and tend to have better service) than McDonalds.
