You’d think people so concerned about their images wouldn’t want their Bad Kid anywhere NEAR a church. Or anywhere else she could shock people with her Ungodly ways. Guess they’re not rich and/or desperate enough to ship her off to boarding school.
Here, Phyllis is like, “We don’t ask for much, we just want you to give up on what makes you who you are and become nothing more than a simple machine.” Nope, doesn’t work that way.
Everybody should be free, but I still want to see Joscelin crash and burn for being trash. As for Phyllis, when was the last time that she won at anything, ever? Isn’t this the Easter service for that year? Steve could drop by with the eggs, Joscelin could point out who’s car is who’s.
It’s over, Phyllis. It’s over.

You’d think with Joce’s choice of hair colour, clothing, and body art, her parents should have figured out they were losing the God thing by now.

So she sleeps on a bare mattress? That does not look very comfortable, especially against bare skin. Ever heard of these things called “sheets”, Joce?
LOL regarding Jocelyn’s line in the last panel.
I’m surprised Phyllis and Ronald never take issue with the fact that Jocelyn calls them by their names.
I love how Phyllis is clearly TRYING to be authoritative (if in a dominating way), but her facial expressions make it clear she’s in a losing battle.
